Cape Brett // Half Day Hike

CAPE BRETT - HALF DAY HIKE

Paihia/Russell to Deep Water Cove

Hike: 5 hours
Deep Water Cove to Cape Brett Lighthouse (return)

Water Taxi: 45 mins
Deep Water Cove to Paihia/Russell

• Departing from Paihia/Russell, take a seat on board the Cape Brett Shuttle and cruise through the Bay of Islands, along the Cape Brett Peninsular to Deep Water Cove.

• From Deep Water Cove, hike the walking track out to the end of the Peninsular. (2 - 2.5 hours hiking one way)
  Take in the amazing views over the Whangamumu headlands and the Bay of Islands, and keep an eye out for all the native New Zealand birds along the Cape Brett Track.
  Take food and water, and visit the Cape Brett Lighthouse.

• Return back along the hiking track to Deep Water Cove for your Water Taxi pickup, and cruise back through the islands to Paihia/Russell

The Half Day Hike requires a good amount of fitness.
The hike takes approximately 2-2.5 hours from Deep Water Cove to the Cape Brett Lighthouse (5 Hours return)
Remember to take plenty of water, and some snacks/food to have along the way.
You can swim at Deep Water Cove

Due to organising schedules, all water taxi bookings are non-refundable, unless cancelled due to safety reasons or minimum numbers not being met (6 passengers)

Late arrivals and no-shows will forfeit 100% of the trip cost
